You write. I polish.

A professional editor with more than 15 years of experience, I love helping writers perfect their work. I focus on the details—tweaking sentences for readability and clarity, correcting grammar and typos, and sharpening your message.

Services & Pricing

I specialize in nonfiction content: scholarly articles, book manuscripts, theses and dissertations, websites and blog posts, CVs and resumes, and more. My top priority is helping you polish your work while preserving your personal voice and writing style.

Each project is different. I typically charge by the word, but based on the project, I might offer a quote calculated by the page or by the hour. After we discuss your project, I’ll develop a customized quote. All work you share with me is strictly confidential. I will never share your work with others.

Content editing

Content editing involves looking at the big picture. I’ll evaluate the overall structure and suggest revisions to enhance readability and flow, possibly moving around sentences or paragraphs. I’ll note any contradictions, places where the content meanders from the central theme, or where more information is needed.

Copy editing &
Fact checking

Copy editing is the line-by-line and word-by-word review of your content in which I’ll edit for grammar, sentence structure, spelling, word usage, etc. I’ll offer suggestions to correct wordiness or repetitive words and will ensure your work adheres to the specified style guide. Depending on the project, I’ll confirm facts, such as locations, name spellings, years of events, and more.

Citation formatting

There’s no need to agonize over every reference or in-text citation, wondering about commas versus colons or if a title should be italicized or in quotation marks. Let me do it for you! I am an expert in APA Style and Chicago Manual of Style citation formats. If you are submitting to a journal that has its own specialized style guide, I can ensure your work matches the guide.

Proofreading

Proofreading is the final step to catch any remaining typos or errors before publishing or going live. Is your manuscript in its final stages? I can be the fresh set of eyes to catch any lingering issues. No matter the project, I give each work one last pass, including checking figure/table numbers and placement, headings and table of contents, references to internal page numbers, etc.
